If you or any of your party develop or have any symptoms of Covid-19 within 14 days of your holiday or receive a track and trace alert you must inform FHL straight away. Please also inform us if this occurs within the last 48 hours before departing for your holiday and we will work with you to defer your holiday dates (subject to availability).
FHL also strongly advises that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover unplanned cancellations (such as Covid or serious illness). If you choose not to, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
Please contact us directly to amend your Booking. If it is agreed to amend the booking, additional charges including additional Rental Charges and/or an administration fee may apply also any administration charges may apply to cover our reasonable costs. This does not affect your legal rights.
If your holiday is cancelled due to the Government Covid 19 advice (National Lockdown) against travel to the area, then consumers are entitled to a full refund.
However, in other cases, because government guidance does not contain ‘legal restrictions’, then any applicable pre-existing FHL terms and conditions on cancellation and refunds will apply.FHL standard cancellation policy is as follows:
Once signed by tenant and landlord our agreements are binding agreements and we do advise tenants to obtain independent holiday insurance in the unlikely event that they need to cancel their holiday, Should you cancel your holiday before the full rent has been paid, which is due 6 weeks before your holiday, any rent in advance paid along with the £30 booking fee will not be refundable unless we can re-sell the holiday. However, should we be successful in re-offering the holiday then we are more than happy to release the tenant from the agreement for an administration charge of £50.00.
Travelling from abroad:
It is the responsibility of all guests to ensure they have the relevant legally permitted approval to travel, and health documents and requirements needed for visiting the UK. Frinton Holiday Lets will not be liable for any expenses incurred resulting from being held in quarantine; guests missing, having incomplete or incorrect documentation or any non-compliance with Covid travel requirements.
